Hi! My name is John Dillinger. I'm a bank robber. In 1933, J. Edgar Hoover named me Public Enemy Number One. I kept that title until I died in 1934. I've been in and out of jail my whole life. I've also escaped a bunch of times. Sometimes I did it myself, like when I escaped Crown Point prison in Indiana, but usually I had help from my gang. I became a national celebrity and had my face plastered in every news paper and on every news reel. Yet no one turned me in. Well almost anyone. But that's another story for another time.
